Us Minnesotans wondered whether the Polads would change their miserly ways and pay for a winner once Target Field was in play. They've stepped up in a big way. There are even rumors that Roy Oswalt may be acquired. There weren't rumors like this even 3 years ago.

For ownership that tried to move this team to North Carolina, in addition to working with Bud to contract the team - they certainly redeemed themselves with the Morneau/Mauer signings along with recent moves such as Hardy and ODawg.

I saw the Twins vs Angels at the "BIG A" for two games at the beginning of the season. They are a good team to watch. I really enjoyed their stellar defensive play up the middle with Hardy and Hudson. They will be a force to be reckoned with in the playoffs if they continue hitting long balls with their solid defense and pitching. They were my favorite to win the Central at the beginning of the season. Oswalt would be happy there as well as Minnesoteans. The only looming question for Twinkie lovers is : When or if Target gift cards will be valid towards ticket purchases?? ....:-)
